'Thali Padayal' Ceremony

The “Thali Padayal” ceremony is performed a few days before the wedding where the groom's parents would go the family's goldsmith to have the "Thali” prepared and place in the family prayer room for a prayer along with the bride and groom’s wedding clothing.

On 25 June, my mother along with my two aunties went to the family goldsmith to collect the ‘Thali’. Then on 26 June, we had the ‘Thali Padayal’ and the “Thali” were blessed by both my parents and the elders who attend the ritual
