On 20th June, Radha and I arrived on time, 1.30 p.m, at GTC Bridal Gallery as per our appointment. It was a busy day for the staffs as several other couples were also actively involved in the photo shot.
On our turn to get ready, the make-up artist and the hair stylist starts with Radha. Previously, according to the sales person, the make-over and the hair styling will be done based on the dress, however on the actual day, the dress was ignored. Make-over and hair styling was done in rush yet been charged extra for some miscellaneous things.
As for my suit, they gave me a very old suit seems like an old school blazer. When I request for other suit, all their suit looks the same. Without expressing my dissatisfactory, I just proceed with the photo shot.
During the photo shot, everything was gone well according to the photographer’s plan. She hardly gave us time to get prepared after each pose. However, we try our best to cope up with her. The ‘modeling’ like experience could turn out to be interesting if the photographer didn’t rush us.
Finally, after approximately 40 minutes of shooting and 20 minutes of waiting, we able to view the picture before editing. We only interested in 6 stills out of 35 stills. We selected 1 still to be framed and the balance 5 still to be printed in 4R size.
Subsequent to the order, on 26 June, my brother-in-law helps us to collect the pictures. The pictures turn-out to be like an amateur work. Since we desperately need the big framed picture to be display at the wedding venue lobby, we had no choice but accept the current work first before sending back for a redo.
Both of us were totally not like us in the portrait, plus the photo retouch work is so obviously like a freshmen’s job. Upon returning back to Klang, on July 1, I brought the portrait for a redo.
The sales people try to negotiate for a 50/50 cost bearing, however I didn’t agree with that. After pointing out their fault, finally they agree on redo the portrait.
7 July, the sales person had email me the draft picture and its looks much better then the previous version. However, there are still areas need to be retouch.
Hope the portrait will turn out well.
Overall, the service provided by GTC Bridal Gallery is poor. Guess, lately their focus is more on the profit rather than quality.
